  I opened my Westpac account overseas and came to this branch to activate it as required. My service agent was easy to understand, thorough, knowledgeable, and friendly. I walked away from the branch confident that everything was set up correctly. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with a bank.

  I went into this branch to pick up a new credit card, which required being identified and then having someone activate the card. I returned home to use the card online, only to find out that the card had not been activated. I called the branch only 45 minutes after leaving and they had no record of my visit and no record of my identification, and told me that I would need to return to the branch in order to be identified and to have my card activated. There was no apology for the incompetence or inconvenience and I was simply hung up on. I had spent an hour traveling to and waiting at the branch in order to be identified and have the card activated, and neither was done. Absolutely horrendous and abysmal service - stay away.

  Update to my previous comments! Things have a bit changed from last couple of months since my earlier comments. Good to see that Customer feedbacks form google are taken care of. I can say I had a seamless banking and lending experience now with the staff. One star less at the moment to show rating increase from last time.

  I think the customer service is good except I prefer to sit while waiting for the account to be opened.

  I was serviced by Kidd who is gentle and polite, especially supportive and responsive. I was provided insightful suggestions and good offers on banking and insurance during the visit. Overall having a friendly banker thinking from customer's perspective was a pleasant experience.
